CaribbeanTales International Film Festival is held in Toronto, Canada annually.

It takes a village of dreamers to make a film: directors, actors, technical, producers, editors, make up artists, set & location design, costuming, catering and of course, screenwriters. If you’re a filmmaker, enter the CaribbeanTales Festival  – for emerging and established filmmakers of the Caribbean Diaspora.

The 2017 CaribbeanTales International Film Festival will be “showcas[ing] Caribbean films from 15 selected countries around the region with public, community and online screenings. This includes 16-feature length and 20 short films in competition for the CTFF Audience Prize, which will be announced on Closing Night – September 17. The program will include an intensive four-day Market Incubator program as well as various networking sessions.” There are opps to develop content for television too.

Feature Length (50 min+) CDN $50.00

Short Films (less than 40 min) CDN $10.00

Submission Highlights

  • All genres and lengths are accepted
  • Films in foreign languages must be subtitled in English.
  • Submissions MUST be made online.
  • Formats for screening:
    • The participant must pay print shipping costs to Toronto. The festival will pay the cost of shipping exhibition prints back to the participant.
    • Please do not send preview or screening copies by courier, as these may incur customs and duties charges. CaribbeanTales will not cover these charges, and will refuse the package.
  • Preview copy must be sent through secure online storage via the entry form
  • Photos and promo collateral since there is a lot of marketing.
      • Provide a HIGH RES POSTER image for your film (at least 800 x 1200px minimum 150 dpi).
      • Include 2 STILL SHOTS from your film
      • Include 2 PRODUCTION STILLS.
  • Electronic Press Kit (EPK) must be ready for submission in the form
