“We are gathering voices and stories from across the US and internationally in an effort to generate a cross cultural and nuanced dialogue that not only examines the power of walls to divide and shut down, but the possibility of walls as sites of resistance, (re)connection, and community.”

Submission Highlights:

  • work by LGBTQ writers and artists that is inspiring, moving, raw, powerful and intersectional
  • writing and art that illustrates the interconnection and relationship between different struggles
  • work that demonstrates how walls, physical, spiritual, and emotional show up in your day-to-day lives, and your relationship to yourselves and your communities
  • work that imagines walls as sites of creative resistance and possibility – NOT looking for work that is super theoretical.
  • accepting UNPUBLISHED work though simultaneous submissions are ok. Please advise if your work is accepted elsewhere asap – open to publishing writing that is not originally written English, but would like an English translation included with your submission. Both will be printed side by side, if selected.
