“Bullying Is Everbody’s Business” Poster Competition – BGIS & UNICEF

The Barbados Government Information Service (BGIS) and United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) came together as co-sponsors for a poster competition entitled, “Bullying Is Everybody’s Problem”.

Theme:  Bullying is everybody’s problem. How can you prevent it, detect it or report it?

Who’s eligible: Both primary and secondary schools. At the primary school level, Classes 1 and 2; and Classes 3 and 4, while at the secondary level, First to Third Formers; and Fourth to Fifth Formers are invited to participate.

Posters will be judged by:

  • creativity
  • innovation
  • originality
  • content and colourfulness
  • interaction
  • successful portrayal of bullying from a child’s point of view

Prizes:  tablet, digital camera, laptop

The competition will run from Tuesday, October 1, to Friday, November 8, 2013 with judging scheduled to take place from Monday, November 11, to Friday, November 15.

Prizes will be awarded on Friday, December 6, 2013.

Top Barbadian musicians who also were featured in her CD shared the stage: saxophonist extradordinaire (Chris Harper (founder of "Cool Jazz'); beloved Bajan diva Tamara Marshall and multi-awarding winning Dwain Gill (on trombone).
