tongues of the ocean is an innovative online literary journal of Bahamian, Caribbean and related writing started in 2010. They accept poetry, spoken-word, prose including writer reviews, short stories and flash fiction. The sections are:
- writers on writers – writers talk about the work of another writer.
- bredren and sistren – section for Caribbean and Southern US writers, for West Africans – for our siblings and cousins in the diaspora, and for our spiritual kin around the world. catch a fire – in every issue we’ll include a section inspired by word prompts, which we’ll post with the call for submissions. Payment: While there is no payment to contributors, well worth your time to build your writing credits, especially considering the stellar list of Caribbean writers published here.
